When I took my first web design course freshman year of college, I already knew that it was a topic that I would love to focus on. The ability to build an entire website from scratch has always fascinated me, but seemed impossible until that course. Now, I have created three websites from scratch as well as helped with several more during my web programming internship. I am proficient in HTML and CSS, with some experience with Bootstrap and Ruby on Rails as well.
LyriColor

For a senior project, I was teamed up with two of my classmates with the assignment of creating a way to artistically interpret a data set over the course of 8 weeks using coding. Our finished project, which we called LyriColor, takes any block of text or lyrics and turns it into a work of art as well as coloring words based on their basic emotions. I did all the web design and UI coding myself while also helping code the functions into the website.

My first job was working in the Advertising Department of Alamo Auto Supply, a car accessory store in my hometown of El Paso, Texas. My main job was doing graphic design and photography for their social media pages, but I also make some landing pages for time-sensitive specials to be featured on the website. Due to the nature of a constantly evolving retail business, loading pages are constantly being updated. This page reflects the type of work I did.

I started working on my resume and realized how hard it would be to make a portfolio for my work in the traditional sense. Then, I came up with the idea of building a website that can show off my past works and be itself an example of my user interface and front-end web development! This is the result.
